Lovely rooms and amazing food! We ate in the restaurant in the evening when we arrived and the choices as well as quality of food was fabulous. Really friendly staff and clean rooms. Would definitely stay again and an ideal location if you are skydiving ...

This is a lovely place to stay, rooms are beautifully presented,with quirky features. The menu offers something different,along side regular favourites and is well thought out,the chef is exceptional,all the meals were perfection! A good choice of vegan/ vegetarian available. All the staff are friendly, professional and welcoming. The landlord was very accommodating. Our room over looked a quaint little market square was very pretty outlook for that morning coffee. Looking forward to visiting again, highly recommend

We had a lovely meal here. The food, staff, and place were all amazing. It was our 1st visit. It definitely won't be our last. Highly recommend everyone tries this wonderful place

2 night stay at The George and we couldn't fault it. Warm welcome, all staff really pleasant, great room, comfy bed, and amazing food. Free parking outside the hotel.Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place.We'll definitely be going back.

I don’t normally write reviews but was that impressed with the Sunday lunch I’ve just had that I thought I’d share. Quite simply it was the best meal and service I’ve had in a long long time. Despite it being a Sunday afternoon and packed inside, the service was prompt and faultless - the Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced- would thoroughly recommend

A large party of 20 went for a Sunday roast. All meals came out at the same time, all hot and well presented! As a gluten free eater I was well catered for as were the vegetarians at the table. Waiting staff were so kind, patient and friendly. There was a little confusion with the desserts order and they worked hard to get it sorted out. Incredible thanks to the George team for making a wonderful 30th birthday meal.

Wow what a find. Exceptional service and food in the bar restaurant. The food tasted great and was excellently presented. The rooms were clean and comfortable. With a great full breakfast. Excellent value, highly recommended. Will visit again.

Took wife here lastnight for a meal. Food was exemplary and service excellent too. Stunning little place with an open fire and well stocked bar, the menus are exquisite and not your average pub menu so if you fancy burgers or chicken nuggets, don't visit. Food is pricier than a standard pub but the food is worth it and so the price is perfectly matched. Will visit again soon.
